For more than a decade, I have been employed by one of the most amazing companies on the planet, Connected Living. We have been committed from day one to helping our aging population stay connected with their loved ones and receive the services they need to thrive in the community and senior living setting. While things have changed a lot over the years - how people choose to connect, perception of technology, technological advancements, the factors that make engagement valuable, and more … our company vision has not wavered.
For those who know me well, you might have heard me mention some of my favorite senior living statistics that illustrate the journey this business has taken over the years:
When Connected Living was founded, less than 15% of seniors were accessing the internet, and 94% thought technology had a negative impact on society.
Today, one out of every two residents who move into a community have a smart device they use multiple times per day.
How is that even possible? Not just the drastic change in technology adoption and perception, but that a small group of crazy Bostonians survived through such sweeping changes. Never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined that Connected Living would be one of the most widely used resident engagement platform in the senior living industry today and I could not be prouder of that statistic and the team at Connected Living.
In continuing with this mission and thinking towards an even more technologically driven future, I am excited to share that Connected Living has been acquired by Sentrics. Together, Connected Living and Sentrics will provide the most comprehensive and widely used technology platform for resident well being in the industry. Collectively we represent over 6,500+ communities. By combining Connected Living’s engagement platform with the Life Safety and Entertainment divisions of Sentrics, we will create a true 360-degree view of resident wellbeing that does not currently exist in our industry today.
To our current clients, please know that it is business as usual from day one. We are here to continue to support you just as we always have – our goal is not to change what you know and love about Connected Living but to enhance future opportunities for data-driven innovation, drive forward thinking technology, and improve outcomes.
We are here to help you with any questions you may have, so please do not hesitate to reach out to the Connected Living team. We look forward to this next chapter ahead!
Sincerely,
Brian
